Why I Teach Bellydance as a Monthly Workshop Series (Instead of Weekly Classes)

Summer 2025 Bellynesian Dance Workshop Series: Kraken & Sirens Dance Choreography Incorporating Polynesian and Bellydance Training

This summer, I’m inviting dancers, dreamers, and island goddesses-in-the-making to join me for a unique workshop experience right here in the upper Florida Keys at Key Largo Yoga Studio.

Rather than hosting weekly classes, I’m offering three immersive, two-hour workshops.

These adult-only classes are a part of my evolving teaching method—one that honors time, energy, and the sacred connection between dance and life.

What is the Summer Bellynesian Dance Workshop Series?

This is a eight-week course, broken down into monthly choreographic intensives. We meet once a month, in person, to learn a full dance piece that’s connected to an exciting local performance opportunity.

You’ll be part of two dynamic shows:
– Opening the Bellynesian Sirens Performance
– Closing the Kraken Bellydance Hips Show

Each month builds your confidence, musicality, and stage presence—without overwhelming your schedule. After each session, you’ll also receive private online video reviews to help you practice at home and fine-tune your movement.

No experience? No problem.
This workshop series is beginner-friendly, yet rich enough for seasoned dancers wanting to explore floor work, undulations, hip movement, and the hipnotic storytelling style I bring to every choreography.

Why Once a Month?

I get this question a lot—and here’s the truth: Adults are busy.
Many of us juggle careers, families, and creative passions. As a professional performer, I’ve found that a focused monthly commitment is not only more manageable, it’s often more impactful.

Learning choreography isn’t just about steps. It’s about understanding musicality, embodying emotion, and giving your body time to absorb and express. A once-a-month workshop offers space to breathe, review, and return to the next session feeling stronger and more connected.

And let’s be real—sometimes, we just need one magical evening a month to play, sweat, laugh, and rediscover ourselves.
